What to expect at your first curly cut appointment?
We understand booking in for your first curly cut can be pretty daunting especially if you are brand new to the curly world. Rest assured, you are in the best hands at Haylo.
When you arrive
You will be greeted by one of our friendly staff who will invite you over to our comfy couch to settle in with a complimentary hot or cold beverage.
You will then begin your one-on-one consultation customized to you.
Dry Curl-by-curl cut
After your consultation, your very experienced and talented curl specialist will begin your dry cut using the curl-by-curl cutting technique.
Co-wash & treatment
Once your curly haircut is complete, you can enjoy a co-wash and deep treatment finished off with a relaxing scalp massage.
Next comes your product application and setting your curls to dry. Now you can sit and relax under the over-head dryer until your
hair is completely dry. Feel free to order a wine cheese platter or toastie while your hair is drying.
Finishing the process
Once your hair is completely dry, we will then ‘scrunch the crunch’ to break up your ‘cast’ and then complete a final cut check.
During this process, you will be guided through a personalized method for your hair with your prescribed products to achieve the best results.
How to arrive for your appointment?
Please wash your hair the day before your appointment and style as you normally would. It is important that your hair is completely dry when you arrive. If your hair has been tied up, please let your hair down to relax before your appointment.
Do I need to pay a deposit for my appointment?
We are often fully booked so we do require a 30% deposit for all appointments that would need to be paid 2 days prior to your appointment to secure your spot with us. This will be fully redeemable at your appointment.
What is the cancellation policy?
We do require 24hrs notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. If an appointment is not cancelled before the 24hrs your deposit will be retained. Please be sure to understand our cancellation policy before making your appointment.

I need to cancel my appointment prior to the 24hrs notice but the salon is closed, what should I do?
If you need to change your appointment during the period we are closed, please send us a text or leave a voicemail on our after hours number 0483910356 and we will get back to you when we are open next. If you reach out to us prior to the 24hrs before your appointment, your deposit will be refunded.
I can’t find an appointment online, what should I do?
Please give us a call if you can’t find the time and dates that you are after. Sometimes we can move things around manually over the phone to fit you into your desired dates/times.

Tuesday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Wednesday 9:00am – 5:30pm
Thursday 9:00am – 7:00pm
Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm
Saturday 9:00 – 4:00pm
Is there parking available?
We have onsite parking available directly out the front of the salon. There is also 1 hour street parking on Keira St and all day parking
on Church St directly behind Keira St.
